Yelawolf=AMAZING Performer!

So, before going to see Wiz Khalifa in Charlotte, I had never seen Yelawolf perform, or even heard his music. I'd seen his name on a TON of show flyers, but for some reason I'd never been to any of the shows that he was performing at. Well, about 2 seconds into his performance in Charlotte, I was an instant fan. Of course, I am a sucker for a super energetic performer that's performing great music (who isn't?) Anyway, if you haven't checked out his music, please do! And then thank me later!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE taking pics of him. You'll see more from the Wilmington show tomorrow!

Leave comments please!

Angie

Wiz Khalifa---Part 3...my new favorite city! (Charleson, SC)

So, after Wilmington, I got another invite to come down to the Wiz show in Charleston, SC. At first, I thought, nope, that's way too far to drive, and driving back and forth to Wilmington the day before meant that I only had about 1 hour of sleep. But, then, I figured this could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I decided to go! (After my 22 mile bike ride that day, going on one hour of sleep!) But, as soon as I walked in the door of this amazing venue, Music Farm, I fell in love! This trip was completely worth it. And the venue makes me want to move to Charleston just so I can take pictures here all the time! It's beautiful, it has perfect lighting, it has tons of levels and even though the show was sold out you could move around freely, AND--there were tons of super nice, beautiful people! I could not ask for more. Okay, here are the pics from the Charleson show:

As the daughter of a Pittsburgh-ian (?) I'm SO happy Wiz brought out the terrible towel!!!

I love the lighting on this last one! I kinda want to make it into a painting. As always, feel free to leave comments!

Angie

Wiz--Part 2 (Wilmington, NC)

Here are pictures from Wiz's show in Wilmington on June 17. This was my first ever "you're on the list" show! Thanks guys for making that happen! (PS--I love the cloud of smoke surrounding him in the picture above!)

Let me paint this picture for you: Someone in the crowd hands him a blunt. Wiz: "I. Don't. Smoke. Blunts." and hands it back!

Let me know what you think!

I'm BACK!

So, after a long hiatus from blog-world (and friend-world, fun-world, and a bunch of other worlds too), I have GRADUATED with a MASTER'S DEGREE and I'm DONE SCHOOL! This is a great accomplishment on many levels, one of which being that I can actually start posting more of my photos! Somehow, over the final months of grad school, I did manage to still shoot some different concerts, some engagement portraits, and even book a few weddings for this summer, but I just haven't had any time to post ANY of them anywhere! So, get ready, because hopefully I'll be making up for lost time and posting new pics every day for a little while, to get you all caught up on what I've been doing.

So, the first pictures I'm going to put up are actually some of the more recent ones I've taken. Last week, Wiz Khalifa was on tour in the area, and some friends and I were planning on going to his show in Charlotte. I have wanted to take pics of Wiz for a while, and have been kicking myself for missing his show at the Cat's Cradle in April, since it's so close to home for me! So, I was "tweeting" about how I was excited to take pictures of Wiz at his show, and somehow his DJ (DJ Bonics) saw this on twitter and hit me up, asking if I'd mind sharing the pictures I got. One thing led to another, and somehow I ended up going to their show in Wilmington and Charleston, SC also! Today, I'll put the Charlotte pics up, and look for the Wilmington and Charleston ones very soon.

Oh...one more thing to be excited about...Yelawolf opened for Wiz at all of these shows, and I've got some AMAZING shots of him to post as well! The pictures, and he himself as an artist, are so amazing, I didn't want to lump them together with Wiz, but they will be up in the days to come! I hope you like what you see, and as always feel free to leave feedback!

Luv,

Angie

Wiz entering the stage...gotta love that smile!

...and a BIG awesome special shoutout to DJ Bonics for helping me have the opportunity to photograph 3 shows on this tour! Thank you!!!
