Lo's First Easter!

So, after a horrible experience in a photography studio AGAIN (I am convinced that no baby likes big, hot, bright lights. I mean, what adult does??) for Lo's Valentine's Day pics, my friend Ashley recruited me to take some pictures for her daughter Lo's (Malone...coolest name ever!) Easter cards. Thankfully, spring has FINALLY sprung here so we were able to catch some of the early flowers blooming at Duke Gardens. Enjoy!

I've got to say, I think I had it pretty easy this time. Not only are mommy and Malone super beautiful, but Duke Gardens is amazing!

My Favorite is Getting Married!

Now, these pictures are from last October, so this is actually a bit of old news, but they've resurfaced since I'm getting ready to do their official engagement shots sometime soon (I'll post them soon after we do them! They are sure to be amazing...because we are plotting about 6 hours of travel time to get them all done! Whew!) Anyway, so back in October the Most Awesome Man in the World for Danielle proposed to my most bestest friend. I was lucky enough to come along for the ring-buying process (and of course take pictures throughout the whole thing...annoying every jeweler in Raleigh!) and be there when he proposed and at the get-together at Danielle's parents house afterwards. Throughout all this, I was able to steal them for just a few seconds (amid taking pictures of everyone in the world's third cousins twice removed...or something...) to get a few cute shots for them to remember the day by. Enjoy!

(PS--Kyle proposed in front of their entire church DURING service, and managed to pull it off, with his and her whole family in attendance, without Danielle having the slightest inkling that it was going to happen. Good job, Kyle!)

Danielle's parents live in this beautiful country area, which made it super easy to get great shots. Right across the street from their house are these amazing cotton fields. If you've never seen cotton fields while the cotton is...uh...blooming?...I doubt that is the right word but whatever...it's amazing. I'll definitely be directing my own engagement shots there some day. I'd plan my wedding AROUND when the cotton will be blooming just so that my engagement shots can happen there! Anyway, look for more Danielle and Kyle amazing-ness, coming soon!
